Codemasters delays two games

Codemasters has decided to delay the release of two upcoming titles, Rise of the Argonauts and Damnation. Both games were scheduled to be released this month.

Rise of the Argonauts is still set to be released this year (December we assume), but Damnation has been given more time for polish and will be released in the beginning of next year, when the competition at retail should be a little kinder on Blue Omega's vertical shooter.

Considering the current financial situation and the release schedule there is bound to be a lot of "casualties" during the holiday season. Damnation would have had a tough time competing with Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Call of Duty: World at War and Tomb Raider: Underworld this Christmas.
