Cory Barlog says accessibility will never compromise vision

Other developers have echoed these sentiments as the discourse around accessibility options rages on within social media.

Social media over the last few weeks has bubbling with discussions around Sekiro and additional options in games. Some of this is talking about whether options should be available to adjust difficulty, but another argument is about accessibility, and the options that can be included to the game (and others) to help those with disabilities.

Steve Spohn - COO of charity AbleGamers which helps those with disabilities to experience games - has been active in these discussions on Twitter, and when he posted a tweet distinguishing between the discussions on "easy mode" and accessibility, one person suggested that he shouldn't suggest developers compromise on their artistic vision for his benefit.

That's where God of War's director Cory Barlog comes in, and he responded to this with the following message:

"Accessibility has never and will never be a compromise to my vision."

This has been echoed and quoted by other figures in the industry like Vlambeer's Rami Ismail, and Twitter shows many others agreeing.
