We find out more about Grim Dawn from the game's lead designer, Arthur Bruno, who has plenty to tell us about the RPG that's currently in Early Access on PC.

First up Bruno gives us the elevator pitch, describing the game in a nutshell: "Grim Dawn is basically your action-RPG, has all the core action-RPG elements you'd expect; the fast combat, the itemisation, the complex character-building, but then we've also built in a lot of more traditional RPG elements."

"Like there's quests with choice and consequence, there's a faction system where you can earn favour with friendly factions to unlock additional quests and unique loot and item augments. But then there's also enemy factions that you can essentially become more hostile with by antagonising them; eventually they'll spawn bigger monster packs and at the nemesis level they'll send elite bosses to hunt you down."

During the interview Bruno also explains the intriguing Devotion system that they're working on, a feature that adds secondary skills that can be added on top of class skills that should "diversify what people are able to do in terms of builds."

Check out the interview for a more detailed explanation of Devotion and more on the rest of the game. Grim Dawn is due to leave Early Access later this year.
