In a bit of a sneak announcement last night, Valve revealed and launched Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as free-to-play along with a new Battle Royale mode called Danger Zone. The switch over to a free-to-play follows many others before it, with players who already own the game getting upgraded to Prime status (costs $15), which adds benefit such as separate matchmaking, special weapon skins and such.

Danger Zone, on the other hand, is a very different sort of Battle Royale compared to the competition as 16 or 18 players, either solo or in teams will duke it out. You collect money to order weapons from drones.

Are you excited to see what a Counter-Strike Battle Royale offers?
