CD Projekt Red's highly anticipated RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, released its debut trailer at the end of Microsoft's E3 press conference, in the process revealing a dark and dangerous future setting.

The trailer transported us to a poverty-stricken city of the future where the rich live a life of luxury and the less fortunate fight over the scraps. It showed us a world blended with technology where people are lost in VR realities and directly linked to the net. As the trailer informs us this city is "the worst place to live in America."

It looks like you'll be able to get your hands on some serious cyberpunk-inspired hardware as well including big guns, killer robots, and hover cars to name but a few. Espionage and sabotage may also play a role in the game with clips of people getting fried by cable connections hinting at some possible hacking abilities.

It seems you'll be coming up in a city ripe for the taking as violent gangs clash with augmented criminals to become kings of the city. No release date has yet been set for CD Projekt Red's ambitious RPG but we'll keep you updated with all the latest news as we get it.
