Daemon X Machina was one of the many games to star during Nintendo's E3 Direct, but the mecha shooter also got some love in a Treehouse livestream following the main event. And it was during that stream that Nintendo made an interesting announcement with regards to the game and the studio's plans to add multiplayer after launch.
The game features co-op for up to four players, but as you can see in the clip highlighted here, PvP multiplayer will be added to the game at some point after launch as part of a substantial content update that should let players explore the more competitive side of the title.
Game director Kenichiro Tsukuda also detailed three aspects of the game that the studio wants to highlight. Players will be able to move around freely in the air and on the ground, and they'll be able to grab gear from enemies and equip it on the go. The third thing he mentioned was the PvP multiplayer we mentioned before.
You can also check out the game's E3 trailer below, and stay tuned to Gamereactor for more as Daemon X Machina is one of the games we're seeing out in LA this week.
