It's been an eventful Friday at the office and there were three major themes running through the day.

First of all, Kickstarter has become something of a staple in the gaming world these days and the crowd funding portal posted a blog highlighting just how important games have become on the crowd funding scene ever since Double Fine took the plunge with their adventure game. We also have news of Mercenary Kings reaching it's target and a book on the history of one of Britain's gaming pioneers Sensible Software that seeks funding.

Another theme of the day was betas as there won't be any open beta for Football Manager 2013, and Marvel Heroes announcing their roll out plans for the closed beta. A game that has moved well beyond beta is Guild Wars 2, and we now hear the game topped the charts in ten separate European countries.

On the GRTV front there has been plenty of interviews including a sit down with Jason Haber about Sim City, a chat with Yara Khoury on Dead Space 3, as well as a launch interview on NHL, a talk about paleontology as it relates to Primal Carnage, and a discussion on the insanity that is Deadpool.

That pretty much sums up our day here at the office, see you Monday!
