We've already received news on the members of the Dallas team for the upcoming franchised Call of Duty League, but now they've revealed that their brand is the Dallas Empire, operated by Envy Gaming.

"The Dallas Empire name and branding are a nod to our past, our future, and the great State of Texas," said Mike Rufail, owner and CEO of Envy Gaming. "Dallas is one of the greatest sports cities in the world. And it's where we're building our empire. We want to bring a Call of Duty League Championship home to Texas."

The Call of Duty League is starting next year, and Empire builds upon Envy's own experience in competitive Call of Duty over the years. The team colours and black and gold, with a secondary colour of blue, and as you can see below the crown is featured too, incorporating both the N and V shape.

"This organization started from humble beginnings and clawed its way to the top," Rufail adds. "Launching the Dallas Empire brand to fans around the world is a dream realized. And a story we hope inspires the community and next wave of gaming pioneers."

The roster features James 'Clayster' Eubanks, Ian 'Crimsix' Porter', Cuyler 'Huke' Garland, Indervir 'iLLeY' Dhaliwal, and Anthony 'Shotzzy' Cuevas-Castro. What's more is that this Thursday, October 24, fans can meet the players during an event at the GameStop store on Preston Road in Texas as well.

Can this be a successful team?

"Does this make for a paradigm shift for first-person shooters? No, but it's nothing short of spectacular nonetheless."
