In recent times - especially with the new-gen games - we are increasingly accustomed to hearing about delays in terms of games' releases. Delays that can cover weeks, months and, in the worst cases, even years. However, this time Bandai Namco has good news for all Dark Souls series' fans: Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin - a next-gen version of last year's game - brought forward its release a week.

Originally scheduled on April 7th, Scholar of the First Sin will land on PS4 and Xbox One on April 2nd. Next to some improvements and innovations in terms of gameplay (the enemies, in fact, will be much more brutal and they will follow our character wherever he's going), this next-gen version of the game will run at a native 1080p and 60 fps, offering a smoother and richer experience than its old-gen versions.

REVIEW. Written by Philip Lauritz Poulsen

"The game has lost none of its relentless difficulty, and the many improvements make it a great experience for veterans and newcomers. But it may not be for everybody."
