Last week, Bandai Namco used the Nintendo Direct broadcast to announce Dark Souls: Remastered - Network Test Version for Nintendo Switch (catchy name, right!), a short beta test to push servers before the game releases on May 25. But it's not only going to be Switch players who are invited to play in advance, as the company announced on Twitter.
According to From Software, the same testing phase will take place on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, meaning that only the PC version is left out. We still don't know the content that will be included, nor the dates when it will take place, but the message asks for as many people as possible to join: "Please, inform your compatriots, we will require the assistance of as many souls as possible".
Dark Souls: Remastered includes the original game and of the DLC (Artorias of the Abyss) and supports up to 4K resolution and runs at 60 frames-per-second, this according to the official press release. The Nintendo Switch version works also with a new amiibo figure of Solaire of Astora. Check out the first gameplay video.
