Phoenix Labs and Epic Games have partnered to publish the game on the Epic Games Store later this year, and now the developer has announced that players can soon manage their Dauntless account through Epic's store.

This is part of a migration that sees players move their account details over to this new platform in preparation for the console launch later this year, and it's described as the "first big step" towards the developer's vision for Dauntless as a cross-play experience uniting players across PC, PS4, and Xbox One in April, with mobile and Nintendo Switch also coming later this year.

All progress will carry over onto one account with this move, and the existing Dauntless patcher will be retired in the coming months as the game becomes exclusive to this new platform. When the official launch happens on the Epic Games Store, players can then use Epic's friend list to interact within Dauntless. Epic's Support-A-Creator program will also be utilised so as to give back to the community.

For an FAQ on the matter you can head over to the game's site right now, and for more on the game itself check out the Epic page.

What's more is that we also have the news that Phoenix Labs has launched the Hunt Pass' second season, which started yesterday alongside the Valentine's-themed Saint's Bond celebration. Limited-time rewards are coming as a part of this new Hunt Pass, with two reward tracks each containing 50 levels - a free one and a 1,000 platinum Elite one.

Phoenix Labs has also increased the amount of experience you get from breaking Behemoth parts after listening to player feedback. This means its quicker to advance through levels to get the rewards, and Season Two has also been extended to almost 45 days, meaning you have until March 13 to get stuck in.

If you're interested in Dauntless you can give the open beta a go right here. Have you already tried it?
