Dead or Alive: Dimensions for Nintendo 3DS will not be released in Scandinavia. The reason seem to be that Bergala, the Scandinavian distributor for all things Nintendo, has been threatened by someone that planned file a report with the authorities about it for breaking child pornography laws - at least according to a user on Neogaf, who tracked the case to the Swedish counter culture forum Flashback. A couple of the more scantily clad characters in Dead or Alive: Dimensions are described as being under-age, while still having the option to zoom in on their more private parts using the in-game photography mode.

The reason for the threat doesn't seem to be to punish the game or its developer - it's likely that it was actually done to make a point about a translator of Japanese manga that was recently convicted for owning child pornography, despite that the material he was in possession of wasn't real.

Our Swedish colleagues reached out to Bergsala, and their press contact confirmed that Nintendo of Europe has decided to not publish the game in Scandinavia, without going into any specifics why.
