There are cult classics and then there are cult classics such as Deadly Premonition. It somehow found its way out in Europe on Xbox 360 a couple of years ago, mixing action, mystery and just overall weirdness in a package really seen in video games these days. It was a distinctively lo-fi experience, but some people really liked it, while others hated it, and most probably laughed at how ridiculous it looked.

Well, now European PS3 owners will get to experience the game for themselves with Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut.

Here are a few bullets point with new features from the press release:

- New scenario from the game's director, Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro.
- HD graphics.
- Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience.
- Downloadable content to expand the mystery beyond the original game.

Yup, you read that right. A game released in 2010 on Xbox 360 gets HD graphics as a new feature.

Anyway, it's nice to see such a polarising game getting a chance at a wider audience.
