This will be a rather interesting week for Eshop on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. First of all, Capcom is releasing a special demo of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for 3DS, when eShop will be updated on Thursday. Release is scheduled for Friday next week, so you can sample some missions to see if this hunting season agrees with your tastes.

The other big release is Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for 3DS and Wii U. The game has out in US since Christmas and was delayed over localisation issues. The price is £15.99 and if you own the game for 3DS or Wii U, the price for the other version is cut in galved to £7,99 (not quite cross-buy, but it's something). The Metroidvania-esque adventure offers great 3D effect for handheld and nice HD graphics on console.

Additionally, Best of Board Games and Best of Arcade Games are released for 3DS for £8.99 each. On Wii U we get the RPG Alphadia Genesis from Natsume for £11.99, the Flappy Bird clone Frechy Bird for £1.79 and the GBA-classic Mega Man Zero 2 for £6.29. Are you getting anything this week?

REVIEW. Written by Martin Eiser

"It still feels a bit clunky and ponderous, and is still challenging. As a result your progress will be slow. But precisely because of that each milestone reached feels rewarding."
