Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's pre-order plan received a lot of criticism, mainly because it locks some content away from players. The only way to get everything was to order an expensive collector's edition. Also those who pre-ordered would have gotten their hands on the game earlier than everyone else, which also raised some eyebrows.

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have listened to the complaints, and they have decided to remove the pre-order program entirely. All of the pre-order content is now available to each and every person who pre-orders the game or purchases a Day 1 edition. Those who already have bought their game in advance, will also get everything.

So it seems the voice of the people was heard and that it caused a really positive change this time. Kudos for Square Enix and Eidos for reacting to the feedback.
