In what has got to be the craziest thing a game developer has done in order to silence critique, indie studio Digital Homicide is now trying to sue Steam users for bad mouthing their games on Valve's online service.

Previously Digital Homicide's owners, the Romine brothers, have sued YouTuber Jim Sterling, real name James Stanton, for $10 million USD for slander while reviewing their title Slaughtering Grounds (and for their perceived persecution at the hands of Sterling over an extended period of time).

While that particular lawsuit is still ongoing, the brothers have turned their aim at Steam users. They have already filed the case according to these papers and subpoenaed Valve to get their hands on the people's personal information. According to another YouTuber, Sid Alpha, over 100 Steam users are mentioned in the case files. James Romine's claim in this personal injury case is a whopping $18 million USD.

Of course the internet is awash with people discussing the events, and we can't really blame them.
