According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, 3DS is about to offer downloadable content to its customers.
The next 3DS update, due out in late November, will open up the possibility for gamers to download additional content for their hand-held. Fils-Aime spoke to AOL and detailed how the changes would "allow developers to sell add-on content, and whether that's for a physical game or a digitally released game".
He went on to add "it's up to the developer whether they want to make it to buy new levels, new items....... what we're doing is creating the framework for those transactions to happen".
