After months of rumours and speculation, Blizzard has finally decided to unveil that Doomfist is coming to Overwatch.

As the last tease indicated, his real name is Akande Ogundimu and he's classified as an offensive character. His Hand Cannon is nice for dealing damage from a distance, while the Rocket Punch comes in handy up close and personal. Want to get closer to your enemies? Then use the Seismic Slam, as this allows you to leap forward and smash opponents toward you. With such an iconic hand it's no surprise that he also has what's called a Rising Uppercut. This will send opponents flying up in the air, which makes them a perfect target for your team or another strike. The Best Defense will even generate temporary personal shields when he deals ability damage, so you have a way out if you're in a pinch. Another way of getting out of a pinch is using his ultimate, Meteor Strike. Just leap into the air, aim, and slam your fist into the ground to deal some nice damage in a fairly large area. You can learn more about this and his backstory in the videos below.

Doomfist is available on the PTR servers right now, which means that he'll be fully released within the next few weeks.

How do you like the sound of Doomfist?
