The excitement around Dota 2 International is already building, and the fact that it seems like waves of tickets were sold in seconds points to another stellar event in the making as the competitive Dota 2 scene looks forward to what is undoubtedly the biggest event of the year.

The International 7 is this year taking place in the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia (the KeyArena in Seattle, the event's usual venue, is undergoing work), and it will run from August 20 through until Saturday, August 25, with tickets selling faster than last year according to Valve, despite the change of venue/country.

It's once again expected that the Dota 2 International will boast the biggest prize in the world of esports, but what the prize pool will be this year remains to be seen. Valve is reworking their plans around Battle Passes (they used to do two, one for the Majors, one for the International) but the new Dota Plus service has replaced the Majors Battle Pass, and we're waiting to hear more details about the plans surrounding the Battle Pass for TI7.
