September was another great month for the games industry in the United States, with many titles breaking records. Spider-Man for PS4 is the star as you'd imagine, since it's not just the number one best selling game, but also the new biggest exclusive launch in the history of PlayStation. NBA 2K19 and Forza Horizon 4 also took the spotlight, but let's not forget about Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Dragon Quest XI "was the biggest launch month in franchise history with dollar sales more than double the previous best, DQ9," said NPD Group analyst Matt Piscatella on Twitter, and we should note that Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies was a Nintendo DS game that sold for a cheaper price, while Dragon Quest XI costs a lot more even with the regular edition.
Dragon Quest X was an always-online party RPG that never came to the West, but either way, Dragon Quest XI has done exceedingly well. Are you currently enjoying the game?
