Siobhan Reddy, Studio Director at Media Molecule, has taken to the PlayStation Blog to reveal some exciting news about Dreams, as early access will be starting on April 16 since the creation part is ready to test, which forms the "core" of the game.

The team still wants to work on Dreams, but for now Media Molecule wants players to start creating and using the tools on offer, as well as gathering feedback using early access too. It won't feature everything coming with the full release (including the story mode), but there's a full toolset, interactive tutorials, arcade games, templates, and additional content created by the Dreams Creator Beta, also granting access to new features and content as they're added too.

This will cost £24.99 at launch (€29.99/$29.99 USD/$39.99 CAD) and has a PEGI 12 rating attached, with the game coming to all European territories, US, and Canada. You don't need to sign up or anything, but you can purchase straight from the PS Store, which will then give you the full version when that releases.

As for when that is, Reddy explains that "we don't have a release date for the full version of Dreams to share right now. But when we do, you'll know about it! And then we'll keep telling you. And then probably tell you another 5,672 times."

All creations made in the early access and Beta versions will carry over into the full version of the game, and if you're excited for VR, you'll have to wait a bit longer for that. It's still planned, but it's not coming in next month's release.

There is a cap on the early access of Dreams, but the developer says it's a "big limit", although to be safe you should purchase as soon as possible to get involved.

We even have a brand new video explaining the early access process to us. Will you be investing?

REVIEW. Written by Mikael Sundberg

"Art's Dream has been developed within Dreams using the same tools as the players are given, and it's phenomenal."
