It's not due out on PlayStation 4 until later this year, with gamers on that platform starved of decent racing experiences thanks in no small part to Driveclub's delay.

Much has been made of the game's slip into October, almost as much as chatter surrounding the resolution/framerates that the game will support. Now, game director Paul Rustchynsky has spoken out with regards to this issue in an interview with Edge, where he says:

"It's a balance, because you can only do so much on any platform. PS4 has been fantastic to work with and we've done a good job of pushing it. It's always a tradeoff, ultimately, and I think we've made the right choices to make the best driving game we could have made. I suspect a lot of people think we may have compromised the gameplay experience by choosing 30 fps, but we've spent a huge amount of time minimising the latency between the pad and what happens inside the game so you never feel disconnected."
