We chat with game director Austin Ivansmith and producer Rey Jimenez about the upcoming remake of Capcom's NES classic DuckTales, localisation of the theme music, the soundtrack, added content and more.

"We're going to make sure that every possible language that we could, I mean we've been scouring the internet and talking to Disney getting all the different recordings of the Duck Tales theme song and we're going to be doing some kind of video contest for the public scene," said Rey Jimenez of the inclusion of various languages of the popular theme.

"The hit box is incredibly important, if you look at Scrooge and you were to put him side-by-side with the TV version of Scrooge they wouldn't look the same, like their proportions wouldn't be identical. It was really important to get his proportions closer to the NES version, because you need a predictable hit box," explains Austin Ivansmith.

"When you beat the game there is an option to play the 8-bit music, and the for the levels that are new, the areas that are new we've created new 8-bit music that is in the spirit of the original game," said Ivansmith.

"Not just the spirit, it's flawless," interjects Jimenez. "If you didn't know that the track wasn't there you would think it's an original track from the NES game. Absolutely you would."

There's also some singing in Swedish involved in this video, but the less said about that the better.

REVIEW. Written by Bengt Lemne

"While true nostalgics are better served playing the original on NES there has been a fair deal of love and effort put into this HD-release."
