That Dragon Quest XI will come to Europe and America sooner or later is a pretty safe bet. This isn't DQX, the online-RPG complete with subscription fees that never made it to these shores, rather this is a regular RPG with high expectations and three platforms to cash in on. We're just waiting for Square Enix to confirm the when and the how, although it seems as though a Dutch PR has already done so.

According to Gamer.nl, people involved in the product cycle in the Netherlands have confirmed the localisation of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of the Departed Time. There is no mention of platforms or a release date, though.

Dragon Quest XI's debut is set for the July 29 in Japan, and Square Enix hopes to sell five million copies in their home market alone.

Update: The following translated statement was made by the site that originally broke the story: "The PR-firm has contacted us and told us they spoke too soon and they will not do the PR for Dragon Quest 11 (as of yet). This does not mean that DQ11 doesn't come to the west. Square Enix hasn't denied anything."
