The FIFA Ultimate Team feature that allows trading players directly with friends will no longer be available from FIFA 15 onwards, EA has confirmed via a forum post.

According to FIFA's Community Manager, smuggling and cheaters were ruining the experience for the rest of the players:

"Although some honest players used this feature to trade with friends, it became one of the methods used by coin sellers to sell and move coins. Account phishers also abused Trade Offers by moving stolen players and coins after wrongfully gaining access to unsuspecting FUT player accounts.

This will also address "bid bumping", where people would try and trick others into bidding far more than they wanted for a player item."

Alongside this radical measure, EA will also cap the maximum number of Transfer Targets in FUT 15 at 50 player items, and require Origin Login Verification before accessing the FUT 15 Web App.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"FIFA 15 is a good game, make no mistake, it's just not a great game; it looks like we're going to have to wait at least another year for that."
