Epic Games has had an interesting year with its latest game releases. Although it was off to a fairly slow start, Fortnite did increasingly well, particularly after launching its free-to-play Battle Royale mode. Since then the action game became the main focus of the company's many development studios, but in the process, they had to shut down other projects in order to meet the players' expectations.

One such victim was Epic's MOBA Paragon which will be shut down next month. Most of its active players aren't too happy about the developer leaving the boat to work on Fortnite, but Epic has proven very generous, by offering everyone interested full refund of any money they may have put into the game. Now the studio proves even more generous as they have decided to give away the development assets of Paragon for free as well.

This data contains 20 Paragon characters, which are complete with voice lines, animations and even seasonal skins to use for their own Unreal Engine 4. Furthermore, the studio is offering an extensive amount of environment assets as well. According to the company's official blog these assets are worth $12 million, which is quite the deal if you ask us. They even promised to release more content in the coming months for budding developers out there. Of course, given that Epic's other big business apart from Fortnite is Unreal Engine, the move also makes business sense.
