It has been revealed that the EPIC League Season 2 tournament for DOTA 2 was the most watched DOTA 2 event of the 2020 competitive calendar. Reaching more than 30 million views, the event garnered more than 700 million minutes of broadcasting in Russia alone.

On top of this, the English broadcast drew in 17 million views and over 500 million minutes of broadcast watch time. The grand finale between Virtus.pro and OG also set the record for the biggest match, with 265,000 spectators at its peak.

"It is always nice to set records, especially as a result of a long-time and diligent work," said Mark Averbukh, Epic Esports Events Product Director in a press release. "I am grateful to my colleagues from Epic Esports Events and RuHub, to the teams, which put on the great show, to the broadcast partners from BTS, and of course to the viewers. This record is our joint success. Thank you!"

The first division of Epic League matches were held from November 12 to December 13, and managed to land the fourth most views for a DOTA 2 tournament of all time, as ESCharts reports. The three positions above all are filled by the 2017, 2018 and 2019 International tournaments.
