ESL UK have today revealed that Battle of the Brands is returning to raise money for SpecialEffect, with teams from various companies like PC Specialist and Ebuyer competing on January 6 to raise money via tournaments.

This will be the second year that the event has run, and will be hoping to replicate the success of the first, in which 222,000 viewers watched on Twitch, raising £16,729 collectively.

Tom Donegan, SpecialEffect Events Coordinator, said: "We were so thrilled to hear that Battle of the Brands will be returning for a rematch in January! The first tournament was such an incredible success and we were absolutely bowled over by the total raised for SpecialEffect. It's so fantastic to see the industry coming together to stage this event in support of disabled gamers across the UK and having a LOT of fun in the process. May the best team win!"

The teams will be competing in CS:GO, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Overwatch, Overcooked 2, and Dragon Ball FighterZ, so there's something for everyone here, with each team also donating at least £500 to kick things off.

Things start at 12:00 GMT on the day and you can watch via Twitch. Did you watch last year?
