Giants Software has announced when the Farming Simulator League will be returning this year for its fourth season. Set to kick off next weekend with the first tournament of the year, we've also been told about the format and prize pool for the competitive year.

As mentioned above, the season starts next week, on May 14, when the first monthly tournament takes place. This will mark the beginning of the fourth season, which will revolve around an array of monthly online qualifiers that will take us all the way up to the World Championship in November 2022.

All qualifying tournaments will be livestreamed on the Farming Simulator League channels, and will each see teams rewarded with a stake of the 100,000 Euro prize pool, with the largest stake being reserved for the World Championship.

Giants Software has yet to say whether the World Championship will be an in-person event.

"We are continuously expanding the Farming Simulator universe and all related aspects, including this popular esports part", comments Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software. "Thanks to our Season 4 partners who share the same vision to offer such a unique playground with family-friendly competition."

Otherwise, it's noted that there will be other separate, stand-alone events over the year that will reward additional prize money.
