The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) finals have already concluded, with G2 Esports being the champions of the summer season, and it turns out that this was a good event for Riot Games in terms of viewership.

It was actually the second-most viewed EU event in history, seeing a 97% increase in viewers compared to the same finals last year, marking the largest year-on-year growth ever. There were 517,018 viewers, in terms of average minute audience, which marks a growth of 45.4% as well.

As for concurrent audience, this peaked at 864,337, which is a 67% increase from last year, and this was helped by the fact that the event was broadcast in seven languages via broadcast partners.
