The off-season madness for the Overwatch League is still firing on all cylinders. The news of Paris parting ways with their head coach was announced earlier and now, we've got the news of Kyeong-mu "Yakpung" Cho departing the Toronto Defiant.
"We want to thank Yakpung for being our shield throughout our inaugural season" a tweet from the Defiant read. "Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the team and our fans. Thank you for being part of our family Kyeongmu and we wish you nothing but the best."
Yakpung has had quite a successful Overwatch career so far, making a few top three finishes in Apex and Contenders Korea before joining the Defiant. As a member of Toronto's original starting roster, the team managed to make one stage playoff however, in the end, they fell short, finishing seventeenth overall in the 2019 season.
Yakpung put out a brief statement on Twitter himself, saying; "Thanks Toronto Defiant. I met good people while I was on the team. I was able to have fun."
Which team do you think Yakpung could end up on next?
