The Intel Extreme Masters event is returning to Katowice to bring top CS:GO action to esports fans from February 28 to March 1, and now the IEM Twitter page has announced some of the initial teams we can expect to see competing at the Spodek Arena.

The ESL Pro Tour winners Astralis, Fnatic, and Mousesports will be joined by invited sides 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, Ninjas in Pyjamas, NaVi, Virtus.Pro, Team Vitality, and Team Liquid, so already there's plenty of talent there to see.

Another six teams will be added via qualifiers, bringing the total to 16, all of which will compete for the coveted title.
