Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a big hit this year for Activision and Infinity Ward, and while it brought back the classic formula that made the shooter successful, there were also new features like the 2v2 Gunfight mode, providing close-quarters action in small arenas.

If you're wanting to get competitive in Gunfight, there's good news, as Infinity Ward has confirmed to a fan on Twitter that Gunfight tournaments will be coming back.

"We're fixing a few bugs here and there along with working on adding some new rewards," the studio adds in the statement.

Call of Duty has a big competitive following, with the Call of Duty League being the pinnacle of this scene, so it's no surprise people want to try their luck at the Gunfight mode too.
