The Toronto Defiant has announced that Dennis "Barroi" Matz will be leaving the Overwatch League team and won't be part of the organisation for the 2021 season. After originally joining the Defiant two years ago, being part of the franchise since its introduction into the League, Barroi will not be staying with the team for a third season.

Revealed over Twitter, the post reads; "Today we are saying goodbye to Barroi, our Analyst. Thank you Dennis for being part of the Defiant family, and for all the work and passion you've poured into our team the past two years. We wish you all the best."

Considering Barroi is officially leaving the Defiant on the same day 26 months after his contract started, it might suggest that his contract came to an end, and that he is potentially eyeing up alternative opportunities. This release doesn't seem to suggest Barroi was dropped from the Defiant, but until a further announcement regarding his future is revealed, this is what we'll have to assume.
