Fable Anniversary coming to PC next week

Fable, considered by some one of the pinnacles of the action RPG genre, has been repainted and will hit the Steam Store on September 12th. Fable Anniversary is an HD remake of the Lionhead Studios 2004 classic. The game was, however, released on Xbox 360 earlier this year to mixed reviews. Critics agreed that, although the HD version stays true to its source and successfully beautifies the game, pre-existing problems were not dealt with, leading people to assume that updating the graphics engine was the extent of Lionhead's ambitions.

Although a new save system and achievements have been implemented, the short main plot, the bland characters, and the inability to procreate remain.
