They say money can't buy you happiness, and it turns out it can't buy you perk cards in Fallout 76 either, as even though perks are represented by cards in the upcoming game, you can't buy these with microtransactions, as some players might have feared when the system was introduced at QuakeCon this past weekend.
Specifically, "in Fallout 76, Perks are represented through Perk Cards. You earn them every time you Level Up," as underlined by the company on the game's official Twitter account. And if that wasn't clear enough, they also add: "Earn Perk Card Packs solely through leveling up. Every other level up to 10, and every 5 levels after".
The game will indeed include microtransactions, but this clarification leaves cosmetic items as the only ones purchasable with real money so far, though those are yet to be described.
Are you relieved?
