Following the sad news of Carrie Fisher's passing earlier this week, fans have been looking for ways to pay tribute to the actor best known for her role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy. We've seen a lot of players coming together in The Old Republic, and there's also a growing number of people asking DICE to add a new skin to Star Wars Battlefront.

The skin in question relates to Princess Leia as she looked in Star Wars IV: A New Hope, whereas the current in-game option has the character dressed up ready to take the fight to the Empire during the battle on Hoth at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back.

DICE confirmed earlier this year that development of a few character skins, including that of Leia from A New Hope, had been cancelled with other features seen as higher priority. Given the passing of Fisher and the subsequent requests from a community in mourning, perhaps the studio will take another look and bump it up the priority list.
