FIFA 17's The Journey story mode is Premier League only

When we learned about The Journey and witnessed how the brand new story mode for FIFA 17 works, we wondered whether EA might consider the same approach for other local leagues, perhaps using DLC or updates to tell new stories in different settings, players, and teams involved. So we directly asked senior producer Nick Channon:

You've shown The Journey with a Premier League focus, can we expect the same set in Spain or any other European countries?

"Right now it's you play as Alex Hunter and you have up to 20 Premier League teams."

That was the short, but clear answer by Channon (with "right now" meaning "for this game"), and the question regarding the managers was pretty similar:

"Just in the Premier League, there'll be a number of Premier League managers - obviously we can't tell how many as managers tend to change", added the senior producer.

So there you have it, no La Liga or Bundesliga as of yet, but you might witness a new round of the everlasting Mourinho vs Guardiola battle, perhaps fighting to sign Alex Hunter for their teams?
