Final Fantasy VIII's remake lands with a release trailer

Final Fantasy VIII is back in remastered form, all thanks to Square Enix, and to celebrate the release this week we also have a brand new launch trailer, so you can prepare yourself to head back in on either PC, PS4, Switch, or Xbox One (or all four, if you're really keen).

This version actually marks the 20th anniversary of the original, including a new feature called Battle Assist - letting you always have maxed out HP and ATB if you wish, as well as triggering Limit Breaks at any time. You can also choose to have no encounters, only partaking in the story's event battles, and activate a 3x Speed Boost to hurry through.

Those on Steam also get even more, like All Items, All Abilities, GF Max Level, Max Gil, Max Magic, All Limit Breaks, and All Cards, so there's plenty more to see on top of the newly polished visuals.
