Wales Interactive has revealed a brand new trailer showcasing its FMV game Late Shift, following live-action sequences through one story based in London.

More detail on the game can be found on the official website, where it has the following description: "Late Shift is a high stakes FMV crime thriller. After being forced into the robbery of a lucrative auction house, mathematics student Matt is left proving his innocence in the brutal London heist. Your choices will have consequences from the very start, right through to the very end. One small decision could change the entire outcome in a choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay that can lead to one of seven conclusions."

The game, shot in full HD, has over 180 decision points to engage in, which will affect which of the seven possible endings you reach. There aren't any pauses or looping footage either, giving you seconds to decide each one.

The game promises to "blend [...] the line between movies, games and interactive storytelling," when it releases in April for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Can FMV games compete with other games?

REVIEW. Written by Fabrizia Malgieri

"Just offering choice and the use of a controller doesn't necessarily make it a game. Despite this conundrum, it's still worth a look."
