Focus announces Battlefleet Gothica: Armada 2

Some time before the year's end the new Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will see release on PC for armchair strategists and Warhammer 40,000 fans delight as the 2016 release from Tindalos Interactive and Focus Home Interactive gets a sequel.

The RTS sequel, once more under the official Games Workshop license, will basically expand on the original's premises. As teased on the reveal trailer below, this second entry will add new factions, as well as a new and different story arch.

According to the official description, factions include, but won't be limited to, "the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T'au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids." In terms of setting, the narratives of the campaigns take notes from The Gathering Storm and The 13th Black Crusade. Besides, a more balanced online experience has been promised, something players were asking for.

The What's Next de Focus event, in two weeks' time, will reveal more details on the project. For now, here's the trailer:
