Square Enix Collective has announced Forgotton Anne is releasing on November 9 on Nintendo Switch, which is a lot earlier than originally planned. The charming handcrafted adventure was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last May and puts players in a hidden dimension where all mislaid items from the human world, the odd socks, the lost letters, the missing toys, are sent.

"A Nintendo Switch version was always something we had planned to bring to life, and it's amazing that we can do this earlier than we expected," says Alfred Nguyen, creative director and co-founder of ThroughLine Games. "We think playing Forgotton Anne in handheld mode feels fantastic and should serve as a perfect match for the Nintendo Switch console's fast-expanding audience."

Forgotton Anne on Nintendo Switch will cost £15.99 / €19.99 / $19.99 and can be seen in the new trailer below. Our own review was rather fond of the game when we played it earlier this year, and you can read those review impressions right here if you'd like to know more.

"If you're a fan of Studio Ghibli, or just great stories in general, then this is undoubtedly one to check out."
