Fortnite is the most played game on the Xbox Store

Rocket League is among the most popular games on Xbox One nowadays thanks to its recent addition to the Game Pass catalogue, but we now know it's also the top paid download on the Xbox Store, presumably because of its persistent offers, events, and extra content Psyonix keeps adding.

In fact, the studio was just celebrating the game's third anniversary the other day, at the time confirming its userbase grew on Xbox One considerably in the last year, to the point of being 35% of the whole, versus the 39% of users playing on PS4, the original console where it released as part of PS Plus.

A look at the top charts for the Xbox Store also reveals, shockingly enough, that Fortnite is still the most played game if you include free-to-play, with other usual suspects such as PUBG, FIFA 18, GTA V, and Rainbow Six: Siege making appearances.
