The latest add-on for the turn-based strategy game, Might & Magic Heroes VII, has released today for free. Named UNITY, it is the first part of The Lost Tales of Axeoth, and includes a free campaign that contains content originally written for Heroes of Might & Magic IV.

In the new content, players control the Academy faction through the story of Genevieve Seymour in the aftermath of the apocalyptic event, the Reckoning. The aim of the story is to recollect lost spells and to create the Theory of Unity, a new philosophy of Magic.

The new content is expected to last around 10 hours, giving the player access to five new maps and features more than 80 returning characters and creatures from Heroes of Might & Magic IV.

The update has dropped as part of the 1.7 update, so players can get into the action straight away.
