Free-to-play MOBA Gigantic to shut down this summer

Developer Motiga and Perfect World Entertainment launched the free-to-play MOBA slash hero shooter Gigantic on PC and Xbox One back on July 20th, 2017. The game is a third person online shooter, but now the game's days are literally numbered.

In a community post it was announced, that Gigantic's servers will be shut down on July 31, 2018. Because of this, all heroes will be free, because you can't buy Rubies and Hero Packs anymore. In-game currency is still rewarded for playing, and it is available to use as a means to buy items at discounted prices in the shop. The reason for shutting down Gigantic is rather simple, it didn't manage to reach a player base that could sustain it for the long haul.
