Gun Media boss Wes Keltner has offered up sales figures for Friday the 13th: The Game, revealing that around 1.8 million people have bought a ticket to Camp Crystal Lake, although we don't know if these numbers take into account the people who got a refund after experiencing massive connection issues at launch. However, Keltner admitted the team was not ready for launch:

"We looked at our player numbers from the beta, along with pre-orders, and then added a 30% cushion. That's how we set up our servers and database for launch. We were soooo wrong. 100,000 players hit us in the first 20 minutes, and our servers melted," Keltner said.

In the same interview with Games Industry, the man from Gun Media goes on to discuss the game's budget, media reviews, streaming, as well as the '80s. Gun Media and Illfonic will improve the game's technical status and fix existing bugs in the future, as well as creating new content and updates.
