Friday the 13th: The Game single player has no story

Instead there will just be challenges, Hitman-style.

Whereas the original Kickstarter campaign for Friday the 13th: The Game was a success, and players have shown great interest in the multiplayer game ever since, the developers have recently come under fire. Mainly for the lack of patches, the sheer amount of technical issues across platforms, and the lack of the promised single player portion of the game, which the developer promised would launch this summer.

Well, the single player campaign has been delayed, but now we know that it may very well not be what fans expect at all. In fact, Gun Media has confirmed through their website, that the single player portion is called "Challenges", and won't contain any story or campaign-like structure at all. Instead, it's a Hitman-inspired set of challenges that you can complete solo. Not quite what players were hoping for.

Are you disappointed in the lack of a proper campaign?
