The popular strategy/4X game Galactic Civilization III, developed by Stardock and published back in 2015, recently received a new major update (2.0) that introduces many new and interesting features. This update introduces new resources, called Administrators Starbase, improvements to the UI, improved diplomacy, and much more. The CEO of Stardock, Brad Wardell, explains in detail what we can expect from this update:

"Version 2.0 is the culmination of many months of working closely with our community on the kinds of features players like but often don't get a lot of attention. For example, the diplomatic AI is more sophisticated and plays a lot like a human would both in terms of trading and how they deal with the complex web of foreign relations. We also added a new concept called administration that is designed to let players have smaller empires that are competitive."

As we already said, there are a lot of improvements in several areas, such as an improved UI, where we can find "folding categories for auto-generated military ships, adding player-designed ships to their favorites, and showing important resources and turn information to both the planet and shipyard windows". But for more information, you can take a look to the full changelog over here.

To celebrate the occasion, throughout the coming weekend players will have the opportunity to purchase Galactic Civilizations III: Gold Bundle on Steam with a discount of up to 75% from January 26 to 29, a great way for newcomers to dive right from the start in this fascinating experience.

Is this just the boost that Galactic Civilization III needed?
