Arno Dorian

Arno Victor Dorian was born in 1768 in Versailles, France to a noble family. His father Charles was an assassin and was murdered in 1776 when Arno was only eight years old. Arno's mother had left when she discovered Charles being an assassin, thus Arno became an orphan. He was adopted by Francois De La Serre, the Grand Master of the French Templars.

Élise de la Serre

Elise de la Serre (1768-1794) was a French noblewoman, Arno's lover and a templar. She was the daughter of Francois and Julie de la Serre. Due to Arno being raised by her father, the couple grew together.Elise was prepared during her childhood to become the Grand Master of French Templars, to continue her father's legacy. After her father was murdered she and Arno united to find the killer of Francois.

François de la Serre

François de la Serre (1733 - 5 May 1789) was the Grandmaster of the Templsr order in Paris during the late 18th century. He was the father of Èlise de la Serre and adoptive father of Assassin Arno Dorian.

Pierre Bellec

Pierre Bellec (1714 - 1791) was a French-Canadian Assassin with a seat in the Assassin Council of the French Brotherhood and former soldier who served in the French army during the Seven Years' War. He was born and trained in colonial France and barely avoided the Templar purge of the Colonial Assassins.

Bellec trained many Assassins for the Brotherhood, including Charles Dorian and later his son, Arno Dorian.

Pierre did not share the views of the Mentor, Honoré Gabriel Riqueti, comte de Mirabeau, whom believed he could make peace between the Assassin and Templar Order. Having to realise he could not change Mirabeau's mind, Pierre poisoned him with aconite.

Arno eventually tracked Bellec down to the Sainte-Chapelle.Bellec attempted to explain that he was only following the examples of Assassins inMasyaf,Monteriggioniand the Thirteen Colonies in purging the old order to rebuild it with greater strength and conviction. Bellec attempted to convince Arno to join his cause, but Arno refused, resulting in the two dueling.

Arno managed to gain the upper hand in the fight, and was forced to kill Bellec when he tried to kill Arno?'s great love, Elise. Before dying, Bellec commended Arno for defeating him, and urged Arno to finish him off, otherwise he will never stop. Once Bellec died from his wounds, Arno paid him his final rites. Bellec's Assassin robes were then passed on to his former apprentice.

Pierre Bellec was a passionate, almost fanatical, Assassin. During the French Revolution, he had sympathies with the Jacobins.
