We found out about a brand new Comanche title back at Gamescom in Cologne, rebooting the series courtesy of Nukklear Digital Minds, and at the show we also got to talk with THQ Nordic executive producer Michael Paeck about what the deal is this time around.

"We actually acquired the licenses three years ago, and right after that the developer, Nukklear, approached us with an idea how to resurrect the IP. We liked it, and here we are," he told us when we asked about how this project came to be.

When we asked about drones mixing with helicopters too, Paeck said that this "gameplay duality is really at the core of the game. When we did our research we found out that also the original Comanche helicopter, so the original, the real one, had a drone, and so we explored that thing a lot. And then we played around with it and we found out that it's really fun to actually be able to just switch between the helicopter and the drone at any time."

"And also they play very, very differently, especially with the controls. While the helicopter has more simulation-like controls, and really feels like you're flying a helicopter, the drone has very direct controls."

Have you played a Comanche game?
